Specs:

Vista x64 Home Premium
4 GB DDR2 at 400MHz (timings fiddled with)
ATI HD 4870 (512MB) overclocked @ 780/1040 (Catalyst 11.2)
Core 2 Duo E6600 overclocked @ 3.3 GHz
Creative X-Fi Xtreme Music (7.1 surround speakers)
Saitek X-52 (Driver:6.0.4.1. Software: 9.9.9.9

Video Settings:

After re-install of config files, Resolution: 1920*1080 @ 60Hz (native resolution), Full Screen: On, all settings default (medium), eplilepsy filter off, AA off, grass on, shadows on, roads on.

Audio:

Music off, surround.

Other Remaining Problems:

Apart from performance, there was still stuttering at low altitude over water in the short time ive used this most recent beta. This may have been due to me using higher settings (all medium) after deleting my configs. Sound stutters also when this happens, and can cut out (can be silent until reboot sometimes).
Controls sometimes get deleted in controls menu instead of just the key/axis.
Various other problems which I will leave for later.
I am using the Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas X, No drivers as it doesn't need any (To my knowledge). At first I thought it was my HAT switch bugging out, but even with no joystick plugged in, the bug can still happen.

It looks like you got the trenches from RoF in there. Could it be Sim Cross-Polination?

I've noticed some issues which seem to be introduced in the beta patch:

1) online, after about 15 minutes flying sound became corrupted and then cut out completely, after a minute or so it came back. Did that several times until finally all sound was gone and didn't come back.

2) When I fired my guns at the plane in front, the game momentarily stutters (lucky for that Spit).

3) Short dogfight follows (I've noticed the switching of LODs of the enemy AC even though we were never more then ~600m apart). Game stutters once more, and Launcher.exe crash

In short:
I didn't have sound problems before
I didn't have launcher crashes before
FPS has improved signifficantly

BTW, slightly off topic: Why is the mouse look in CoD limited to 90 degrees regardless of FOV? Pan view (using a hat switch) allows full range of view but it is not smooth (jerky, rough pan view switching gives me a nasty headache) making it almost impossible to track the enemy using the pan view.

In Il-2 I bound the "mouselook" to hat switch (hat emulating mouse) to get the smooth pan view. How can one do the same in Cod? I really miss the simple and efficient mouse view of Il-2.. ;..-(

Put in the patch 14072. Working better then before the patch. This is in the off-line mode no stream.

I have installed Windows 7 64 bit looks and fly's good. Windows 7 64.bit is the why to go with this sim.

I can now fly with everything maxed, 40 fps over land. A huge improvement, thanks!

Massively improved framerates and 99% stutter free. Great job devs.

However, when using the stock Quick Missions, and using CTRL F2 or SHFT F2 to cycle through other a/c views, I keep getting CTD. CTD only ever occurs when doing this.

The fuel dump explosions are mightily impressive. Yes, you get a a significant fps hit (45 down to about 20) but this doesn't seem to matter.

Trees seem to shimmer a little.

Building pop-ups are virtually non-existent too. With original textures, all buildings disappeared though.

Flight over London is now a real joy.

Well done devs.

Somewhat better than the performance mod. Better FPS and smoother. Actually been able to play a while for the first time!

I can confirm severe stutter when starting Le Havre single mission. Some industrial building eats lots of fps.

WIN7 64 bit, I5 650 @ 3.2 Ghz, 6GB RAM, NV GT 330, Audigy 2 ZS.

Same problem here, not only in quick missions though.
