Wonderful patch!
Excellent work, gents...

[edit]
removed stuff about crashing game when turning on lights
...as it turns out, I had (somehow) managed to bind "L" to "Exit game"

*shaking my head in disbelief*

Game now runs perfectly, smoothly and beautifully.
That's all, carry on...
[/edit]

Thanks

Also experienced quite a few crashes, didn't take much notice until the very last one I had. I was Ctrl-F2:ing to see some externals on aircraft when it crashed.

Can anyone help me?

However, I seem to have gotten an extremely annoying bug which happens at times, and I can't play the game when it occurs: Sometimes, the camera seems to start snapping to different angles for no reason, as in, I start flying, then suddenly the camera snaps to looking behind, then to the side, then top-down view, then zooming into the gun sight, then out again. It dosent happen all the time; For example, in Quick Mission and Campaign, I start a game, and the bug might not happen. I finish my flight, want to try again, and it happens. It sometimes happens a few times in a row (Even when testing a mission in the FMB). Restarting the game has no effect, it will still happen randomly. Rolling back to the previous patch with steam solves the issue, but I get reduced FPS. My system specs are as follows:

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600)
Motherboard: ASUSTeK P7P55D
Processor: Intel Core i5 650 @ 3.20GHz (4 CPUs), 3.2GHz
RAM: 8.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 668MHz
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 5870 1GB (It is a Sapphire Vapour-X)

I'd be happy to provide more information if it is needed.
Otellino
Thank god im not alone, and that its (seemingly) not just on my end. It doesn't seem to be completely random, possibly to do with framerate/looking at land/zooming in? Not sure. EDIT: What joystick/joystick drivers do you have Otellino?

Specs:

Vista x64 Home Premium
4 GB DDR2 at 400MHz (timings fiddled with)
ATI HD 4870 (512MB) overclocked @ 780/1040 (Catalyst 11.2)
Core 2 Duo E6600 overclocked @ 3.3 GHz
Creative X-Fi Xtreme Music (7.1 surround speakers)
Saitek X-52 (Driver:6.0.4.1. Software: 9.9.9.9

Video Settings:

After re-install of config files, Resolution: 1920*1080 @ 60Hz (native resolution), Full Screen: On, all settings default (medium), eplilepsy filter off, AA off, grass on, shadows on, roads on.

Audio:

Music off, surround.

Other Remaining Problems:

Apart from performance, there was still stuttering at low altitude over water in the short time ive used this most recent beta. This may have been due to me using higher settings (all medium) after deleting my configs. Sound stutters also when this happens, and can cut out (can be silent until reboot sometimes).
Controls sometimes get deleted in controls menu instead of just the key/axis.
Various other problems which I will leave for later.

Default Improving but.....

Definite improvement with Patch. Playable except around cities. Odd launcher crash. FPS over 20 now in country. Still quite stuttery in towns. London just about flyable but obvious filling in of textures in front of me. CPU Usage is <60% on my system with Dual Core & Hyperthreading. Need to get better CPU optimization, (or is it that the GPU is bottlenecking my CPU?????)

Model Detail - High
Buildings Detail - Very Low
Land Detail - Medium
Forests - Off
Visual Effects - Medium
Texture Quality - High
Damage Decal - Medium
Buildings Amount - Low
Land Shading - Low
Grass - Off
Shadows - Off
Roads - On

2 x AA, 1280 x 720, SSAO OFF.

i5-760; HD6870 1gb; 4gb ddr3; win 7 32bits; Settings Very High/High (medium on buildings and buildings amount) 4xAA, 1920x1080.

Running smooth now(over land and sea) with a large number of aircraft, NO stutters, multiplayer working. If it play for most people like it plays on my PC now, i think the USA release will be a big sucess.

PS: I want my bouncing needles back.

i have a dual core cpu at 2.4 ghz, 3 gb of ram and a 8500gt nvidia so im way under specs

still get 70-80 fps on sea with several planes on air an 40-30 over land running the game at 400*300 full screen

the problem is that over land though fraps shows 40-30 fps its hugely stuttering

i blame it on the buildings

if i could turn completly off the buildings that would be really nice
