Does someone know how to do this sort of skin with gimp ? Or does someone has already seen a tutorial (i accept even in english :-P). i have search on internet but didn't found something very accurate yet. I thought it would be wonderful to fly with such a plane.

That is not a texture, but is hardcoded as a hardware shader effect in the game engine, but is not being used in the actual released game. May be in futures updates / expansions.

I thought it was possible because i have seen this for il2.

Well, what do you see?

I see alot of grey, in varying dark and light shades. And there's your answer.

the skin you want to do would be bad to see. it is a static one, in the meaning that the reflection are fake, while in the enviroment like the water, the reflection are dinamically rendered by the graphic engine.
In Il2 it is functioning because all the textures are less precise and less realistic.

But if you really want to try..

metal texture tutorial research (https://www.google.it/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ix=seb&ie=UTF-8&ion=1#hl=it&sclient=psy-ab&q=metallic+texture+tutorial+gaming&oq=metallic+texture+tutorial+gaming&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&gs_l=serp.3...8520l11428l0l11540l9l7l2l0l0l0l100l6 25l6j1l11l0.frgbld.&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb&fp=8e99514d8151d7ab&biw=1280&bih=856&ix=seb&ion=1)

I know what you're trying to make.. I've seen them before (back in old IL2), and they look good..

I've been wanting to make a nice polished aluminum bf109 skin myself :)

You'll find some tutorials here..

This is what you need to look at:

http://www.simmerspaintshop.com/forums/f41-targetware-tutorials/reflection-maps-480/

Those skins for Il2 don't have real reflections, they are painted on.

I have only seen it in MS flight simulator

As far as I know MSFS doesn't use real reflective textures either, just a gloss map on the Alpha Channel, offering in FSX either reflective or specular shine. That is far better than what CoD currently provides but still not a true reflective texture. A true reflective texture would actually reflect the scenery visible from the surface reflecting (you should be able to "see your face in it" so to speak). Note I don't paint for MSFS so I could be wrong, though I would be surprised. If you can fly alongside another aircraft in FSX and see your own aircraft reflected in the bare metal of the other one it has true reflective textures.

Even the MSFS Alpha Channel "specular shine"and reflective textures can really suck up your FPS.

In an ideal world you could turn on reflective textures as an option specifically for the use of the occasional person with a sufficiently high spec machine.

In the real world, the forums would be flooded by FPS complaints from people with old hardware (who should have had more sense than to even consider trying reflective textures) demanding it be "fixed" right now. I suspect its politically safer to leave the feature disabled for quite some time :D

The IL2 way of doing it does work ( I used the technique to good effect on my IL2_1946 prewar gladiators) ... but its not just cutting and pasting in some nice blue tinted reflections, it requires detailed work with multiple layers and an understanding of lighting and how it relates to the aircraft in question.

Targetware was good at making metalic skins. I really loved the P-51 skins introduced in Target Torbruk. Almost perfect metal effects.

I fooled around a bit with a FW190 skin, for fun. There was a lot of potential in that skining engine.

Here's a quick clip i did back then:

Slightly OT here's a beautiful Spitfire vid...but as good as this is I don't see that it has the shadow qualities CloD has...but oh the details in the interior:

Wow, that start up of the spit in your vid makes CloD startup look like crap! Thats like full startup A-10 ED style!
