I've made several successful attempts at landing. 12 in random fields (2 of them belly landing) and like 8 more on the airfield, and there about.

And I think my best score is the "Red Skies of Dover". I've gotten like 3000+ and on the "Tiger Hunt" I've got like 2000+. But only because I've been playing the Demo almost every waking hour I have, trying to get a higher score, and just get way good at the controls. Which I think I've accomplished?

On the Dover mission I got something like 4800, ...I think that's about tops for the demo.
On Tiger Hunt I get about 2800 and that's about tops on that mission unless they give more points for finishing faster.
Maximum altitude for the Spitfire so far is about 30,000 ft. and the Mustang I got up to 39,000 or so.
Bringing down the Mustang from that height in a power dive I noticed that the air speed meter stops registering at 600 mph, ...it just goes blank.
I'm using the Ace Edge flightstick and noticed that the Spitfire has a bit of a dead zone, not bad but noticeable. However, when compared to the Mustang I can tell that the P 51 is much tighter with only a small amount dead zone.
With the Mustang when trying to draw a bead on a FW 190 I would generate PIOs until I turned down the elevator and aileron sensitivity by about a third and viola! ...almost no more PIO.

ok over the 60 sorties now 6 with the aviator my latest score stands at 4 kills 3 were primary tgts (2 he111, 1 ju87, 1 me109 ) mission lasted 8 min 41 sec with a score of 1962 had heavily damaged engine lost to much power and forced to land on the shore at the town se of the airfield successfuly toched down (landing successfully with aviator requires you to rev engine betwen 10-20 percent till speed is below 96kmph) this is due to a glitch witch hopefully will be fixed in a patch on/just after release

Hmm, I reduced throttle to 0 just after landing in a field, and the prop was completely feathered, but speed just wouldn't slow down fast enough. It ended up crashing.

Something is weird about the speed in simulation mode. I can't accelerate past 250 mph in either of the aircraft, even in a dive it doesn't go much faster.

yer i think sim mode was built for flightsticks as the wep lasts alot longer and speed is far higher also ive figered if u want a dead sure trim for the spit flik to ur virtual hud get the drift bubble to sit outside to the bottom left but touching the centreline bubble

forget trim, just concentrate on smooth altitude gain ove the bombers....cash it in for speed when you attack...think racing lines in 3D
