I have a much older GPU, a GTX8800, but my graphics are superior to those shown in your movie (and to many other people's screencaps and videos).

In addition to selecting the options in IL-2, such as "Perfect", you need to find the other advanced settings that will work best for you, such as AA and AF.
I suggest you download and install
nHancer

Check out the demos at the nHancer website of the various Anti-Aliasing (AA) and Anisotropic Filtering (AF) options. Then download nHancer and experiment with settings to find which works best for you...it is time consuming but eventually you will find what works best. There are often tradeoffs between performance and visual quality, so the very highest settings for any particular parameter may not always be the best.

I have an older version of nHancer. After much experimentation a couple of years ago, I found the settings below work best for me and my 8800 card. They might be useful to you as a baseline for your own experimentation. Good Luck.

Note that I show the "Global" settings. I personally do not have different setting 'profiles' for different games. My single Global set of settings works for me at all times, in all simulations/games. You may have a different experience.

@Doolittleranger
I really appreciate the info on nHancer. I am looking into that, you can count on it.

I haven't been able to get nHancer to work. It will not launch. It seems to start for a moment, the logo appears, but then it goes away and then nothing happens.
I have Windows7 OEM System builder pack.

I can't help, but see this thread about another Tweaker called NVIDIA Inspector, with which I am unfamiliar.

Thanks for the guidance on that. I wasn't able to get nHancer to work, but the link led me to Nvidia 'Inspector' and that seems to be doing me some good. I have adjusted the AA and AF, its complicated and strange but I am messing with it.
