If you'll notice in part 2 the corsair pilot has gotten whats coming to him.

Besides, I couldn't keep those characters alive, I don't have the ability to keep filming them. I mean, if I could I would have them both on the ground and perhaps the corsair pilot would crash-land nearby and discover the Japanese pilot stuck in his crashed plane and it is burning, the corsair pilot climbs out of his plane, runs over and saves his life by pulling him out. Then there you have an entirely different story. So I am limited to 'what' can be filmed in the game.
