Unhappy Hypnosis killed the game - my opinion

I didnt get this spell till lvl 22. untill then a battle required strategy, I changed units, used different spell, etc. Strong was Strong and Impossible was really almost Impossible, every battle was different.

Hypnosis spell just unbalanced the game, especially when combining with Sacrifice. All the battles are the same (Im sure I dont need to describe them)and I can easily win an impossible battle.
I can decide NOT to use this spell but it is just not the same as not having it (its like mutilation or lying to yourself).

I think it should be remove in the next patch.
Am I the only one having this problem ?

There are plenty of 'uber-strategies.'

Hypnosis + Sacrifice

Phantom + Kamikaze

High Intellect + Fire Rain

Armageddon

The list goes on. This game is very, very easy on Medium, moderately challenging on Hard, and challenging on Impossible. If you find it too easy, see if it works on Impossible.

BTW this is why we need multiplayer, so that we can test these strategies on each other.

If you get the spell.

In my first game I didn't ever get hypnotize.

I got fire rain but my warrior wasn't a chaos magician...is the game unbalanced because my death spirit was awesome?

Level 22 is near the end of the game...you should be powerful then.

Also, Hypnosis is not so great on impossible and for characters with low Int (i.e. warrior), and there are some fights with lvl 5/mind immune units only.

Hypnosis by itself overpowered, compared to those other things you mention. Basically, I didn't lose any units (so the sacrifice part doesn't matter) by focusing on Hypnosis/Demon Gate and stall tactics. This was on impossible, btw. I think those 2 spells need to be nerfed.

How is hypnosis so great? I found amulet that gives it very early and it seems 95% of time there is no target for it or target is so small that it dies very fast. I have much more success casting phantom on my griffings.

Not so useful on impossible. ALl the stacks are 170% bigger, so finding an enemy that you can actually use it on is a rare treat. Even when you can use it, the 40 mana (!!!) is usually better put to other uses...

40 Mana? I can cast Fire Rain x 2 for the same amount as that.

For me Hypnosis didnt helped too much after dwarven lands. Enemy stacks was too large and other tactics was more effective. I only used such combination to ressuply units which i coud not buy and even for these pusposes it was "pain in the ass"....
