A few visual ideas

For when the time is right...

Flocks of birds

Leaves as well as dust blowing away from propellor

Static men (?!) pacing round the hangars

Record player for airfield, or more sirens (more atmousphere around base)

Any more ideas? And I do stress when there is time to add these things in the long run.
