I agree, make sure to have your rules setup already and well explained..
We in TUSA we have a lot of experiences on that matter, we did it for years the "International Online Combat League" and "Servers Wars" Til we ended up with no one else to fight ... we know why ![]() Last edited by GOZR; 12-12-2008 at 12:38 AM. |

Gentlemen,
The reason that the final rules haven't been posted earlier is because, as part of the structure, each team has 2 Liaisons that represent them in the rule structuring process to insure that all teams have invested their input into the rule process. Sometimes Liaisons debate dot ranges, nav lights, friendly icons, and the like. The Liaisons then vote and the draft rules are finalized. There usually isn't a whole lot of changes made but each season develops new experiences that the teams like to discuss and sometimes amend. This process actually brings the flight community closer together. That's why I hope, next season you can be part of the process, especially with the experience your group has. Final rules are posted, league matches have been scheduled. http://www.uslglobal.com Last edited by Lazarus; 12-20-2008 at 05:08 PM. |

United Squadrons League Final Rules are up with the exception of the Final Closed Pit Icons (on/off), and Dot ranges, which are being hammered out this week by the Squadron Liaisons.
The USL will meet its scheduled opening date of January 12th, 2009. Ah, but Squadron registration is closed, too bad. We specifically wanted an organization that would be run by the community of squads, and it seems we have it. 18 Squads in two divisions for Open Pit. 18 Squads in two divisions for Closed Pit. A Nine match schedule for each team that takes us through 18 weeks. And a playoff structure in place after that, that gives us a Champion for each Closed and Open Pit. From Khalkhin Gol through Stalingrad and the Bulge to Burma, we have a seasons worth of original historical maps ready to play. Slick it may be, some may call that professionally packaged. Whatever it is, it is the product of months of planning and haggling and debating and organizing. And it will Rock! Kudos to Lazarus, who took an orphaned league (not for lack of participation), gave it home, and with a dedicated group of IL2 pilots (which I am lucky enough to be a part of), has created, a solid, functioning operation, that is 50% larger than it was last year. The Tempest Union competed last year, and the action, the teamwork, the intensity of the missions and the dogfights, surpassed anything I had experienced in any game in any server. Sorry you guys sat it out this year, sign up early next year, the slots will be limited. ![]() |

One Closed Pit slot has become available!
Because of a Closed Pit Team's last minute cancellation a slot in the Closed pit division has opened up. Our alternatives are a bye week for that teams opponents, or a last minute fill in. If you have a squadron ready to compete, if you wanted to sign up but missed the deadline, here's your chance. Immediately connect to USL Global and register your team in the Closed Pit Team Registration topic. All squadron members wishing to compete, must also register at the USL Forums. Closed pit competition begins in a week and a half.
