Could someone with the English language version of the game (A.K.A. International version) please share their (English language) Maddox.dll file? Those of us with the Russian version of the game can use it to be able to see the in-game menus and dialog in English.

The Maddox.dll file can be found in this directory:
C:/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover/parts/core

[Helpfull shortcut: From you desktop, if you click on the Windows "Start" button the menu will pop up and you can simply copy then paste the directory location -that I listed above- into the small search field at the bottom of the pop-up menu to quickly locate the file.]

Thanks in advance guys!

well, the spitfire is still disappearing in midranges which is extremely annoying!

now its really a shame that clod is abandoned and left in the state it is...
you cant fight what you dont see, and you Luthier introduced that bug with a former patch...
its really ridiculous that you dare to leave it in that state...
btw, its a specific spitfire problem.

meshshowlod=1 cures the problem but grinds my pc to a halt.
anything above =1 cures the problem as well, without any performance drop!but then your own plane is only partly visible...so this is of no use....

a really disappointed former customer

Trying to use my TrackIr gives me a headache now.
Mirrors still don't work right.

Frame rate average on my system was about 15fps.

AMD FX-8150 8 core processor.
32gb DDR3 Ram
Geforce GTX 460 w/ 1gb each x 2 (SLI)
ASUS Crosshair V Formula Main Board.

That much power and still can't run it at High settings.
I'm thoroughly disgusted with this sim and will NOT be purchasing the sequel until there is bonified proof that it actually works as advertised.

Your system isn't that great man, no offense but The FX-8150s rate barely above old intel core 2 Q series quad cores and lower than the older Phenom 2 X4's, 460's in SLI only just match an ATI 7850 without an overclock...And that's in SLI supported games. Of course you're not going to run it on high. Cores don't mean everything.

Thanks Luthier, BlackSix and the rest of you guys at MG.

I can't wait to test the patch, I am hearing good things .

All the best for the new game I will pre-order as soon as its available (as long as its not an MMO).

Thanks again (500 hours in COD and increasing )

Hi

Thanks for the patch, however why can't we have true air speed correct per history ? It now looks both sides are under the true figures.
Talking about 350 TAS at 18'000 ft for spitfire for reached by K5054, it's actually far from such performance, and at SL, I expect more than 290 TAS, it's again far from that in the game.
I know Spitfire reached more than 25'000 ft, that's again not the one we have in the game.

Why Can't we really have tough aircrafts, like real ones ?

Yes the game got much better with each patch, and yes you can tell that there is a great deal of work behind it.
However, I think that publishing a paid expansion now wouldn't be a good idea.

Even with my medium-high end PC (i7/970, 12GB RAM, GTX680) the frame rates often drops close to unplayable, especially on take off.
Antialiasing hasn't been taken care of, yet. That means, planes are very hard to tell apart until you're very close to them.
Also, I still have a problem with the Hurricane, where low-res textures are superimposed to the hi-res ones (as shown in the patch thread and in a bug report)

I could keep going but I think I made my point: right now CloD is a great game but it still needs some fixing before an expansion can be published.
Personally, I wouldn't buy an expansion right now, unless early customers get a special deal. On the other hand I would buy the sequel if some time after the release, positive reports start popping up and everyone is happy with it... but for some reason, I don't think that's going to happen.

Now don't get me wrong, I still believe that CloD is going to be the greatest flight sim game ever. All im saying is that I won't invest more money in it, until im sure that im not going to get ripped off again.

Everyone can get ripped off once, but getting ripped of twice, by the same guy, and in the same way... well, that's not going to happen.
So, make the game match the promises and I'll be happy to keep buying expansions.

(also mirrored here)
I understand your disapointment as the game was not perfect out of the box from the release but...c'mon we payed 60bucks for 2 years of playing.

Ok some bugs were annoying but we were lucky that the devs kept working on it during this time.

I think you shld keep your head up and look around what is done as standard by the industry.

Mil fly sims is a small niche. Especially WWII and in particulary accurate Flight sim with Fligh Models worked hard to allow the player to get a feel of what it was. Neither RoF or WThunder let you with this impression.

So please, improve your SA and don't be so harsh..

Ok, Luthier owns us a good one, but at least he has led his team on the hard way trying to improve the game.

For sure I won't spent 60€ at the next release, but be sure that I will wait "2 weeks" for the form and buy my copy as soon as price hve decrease a tad (1€ ? )

thank you for the patch, however,
Il2 CLOD in Windows 8 is still broken, Steam starts games, Steam User goes "Green" aka playing then Blue aka online and CLOD never starts... No other game or software has an issue only CLOD, even 1946 works as it should with no modification... Please, don't give me any windows 8 is not supported, cause I think a lot of people would agree that delaying a game with patches this far kinda necessitates next gen OS support no?

I Still want my money back, there are other Flight Sims that are far more deserving of this funding.

I voted CLOD the most disappointing game of all time, on Hexus just a moment ago.

+ No Dynamic Campaign?
+ So many promises (cockpits, DirectX, Basic functioning Game) still not fully fulfilled...
+ No windows 8 Support?
= IL2 series is in decline

I am done buying your games, DCS: World, with it's modules is where things ought to be moving...

I really dont understand people here which are happy that 1C relased final patch with so many unfinished and still buggy things? I was hope that we will get a few more RC beta patches which fix some more things expecially FM's and performacne CLOD planes.

So it looks like game is over now

So, let me get this straight, you want them to support a OS that is not even out yet? really? I mean, I can understand if it did not have proper windows 7 support but expecting support for a OS that is not even on the market yet is just absurd, sorry to be blunt but that is true.

I find the game functions fine, while some of the menu stuff is a little funny, the overall game works as designed and seems to be running very well for me (even on my aged computer), I don't see your issue here, your other problems with cockpits, directX and such don't make any sense, I don't have any issues at all with any of that.

Overall, I don't see your problem, granted, the game needs more work but your issues specifically don't make any sense.

Kwiatek: development costs money. How many CoD copies do you think they sell these days? So if you want to see the new game series grow, they need more money that they can get from the next game.

Here you can see another alternative that can happen to a game:
