October 18, 2012 - Patch 1.11.20362 is now live on steam!

Good day everyone,

Exactly a year after the last patch we’re finally releasing one more official add-on to Cliffs of Dover.

Simply open steam and allow it to auto-update the game.

Please note that the content deployment system for steam has changed since the last version, so the game will go through a quick automated conversion process once the patch is deployed.

Compared to RC2, the patch now on steam has a few minor changes. Most are not listed in the patch notes as they are not changes compared to the previous steam version.

The changes include:

- Changed default trimmer positions for 109s, Ju-87s, Ju-88s, G-50 and the He-111;
- Corrected G.50 FM, increased horizontal speeds;
- Increased open canopy drag;
- Corrected cloud shadows. They should no longer be projected upwards;
- Corrected curly tracer effects;
- Disabled WEP for British fighters using 87-oct fuel.

I know all of you are anxious to know about what happens now. Unfortunately we’re not ready to post that just yet. We will post announcements and a more detailed roadmap in a very near future.

We really hope that the new steam version that includes many great new additions will finally be something the community is excited about. The free release Su-26 aerobatics plane is a very small token of our appreciation of your support.

Thank you all for sticking around with us, and enjoy the game!

thx luthier and team for your hard work. It is much appreciated, but please don't forget CloD during the development of the sequel. We are really looking forward to the see some further work and improvements which can be adapted to the merged installation of CloD + sequel... and maybe some finetuning of the FM :-)
wrote this allready in another thread, but this suits here as well....

Don't want to abuse this thread, but NOW is the time to revise the il2bugtracker. Let us check every single bug and feature written down in the bugtracker and delete everything what is now corrected.

I am really excited to see how many bugs can be removed.
After that, with a competely new il2bugtracker with all the CURRENT bugs inside, the devs can work on them to correct the remaining issues at least for the sequel!

Lets get to work gents! :P :D

Thanks a lot for your efforts at fixing the game - it really is close to what I had hoped for during the development right now!

EDIT: And it's really late in Moscow now so get in bed for some well deserved sleep ;)

Seems like a sad end to a game that promised so much over so long a time.

Thanks for your work Luthier and your teams in trying to make what was an Alpha release into something that we all expected. Seems you where given the poison chalice.
