Still using the March dll's.

The problem I have running Sli with 2x8800GTS is that I get a flickering shadow on the water's surface when any boats are on it.

I also had a really bad pulsing like each frame was slightly darker and lighter, only minutely, but it looked like the whole scene was flickering.

So I turned the SLi option from render next frame to split render each screen, and that has now gone, totally fixed. However the shadows on the water look awful as they just flicker like they are interlaced on a TV...if that makes sense.

Smile Good News

I run a clean 4.09beta install with the patches and never had any of all the problems that have been mentioned since when these drivers were put online, except for:

1) Flickering shadows with SLI but this is not an issue any more as I went back to a non SLI solution.

2) Blinking polygons exactly as mentioned in this thread. It was only seldom (so not too much disturbing) and light blue flicker. I did not have white or other polygons flicker except on the fuselage and with shades of light blue.

But I have good news even excellent news. After very testing in the pacific theater with various airplanes and also with the track KI versus B24 I can confirm that with the Nvidia GeForce GTX280 board from Asus running drivers WHQL 177.41 there is no more flickering polygons at all. I can even say that the tvisual exture rendition quality on Hellcats for example are excellent. But it is true that I use very high settings.

Crazyivan now you "only" (maybe with some help from Nvidia) have to check what is the difference between these new drivers and other drivers for 8800 boards (before I had a 8800 ULTRA with drivers WHQL 175.19) and you probably may find the solution.

BTW these are the original files from 1c team.

I have put all 5 versions of the 4.09b1m dll's in one Rar file.

Make sure you back up your old dll's before replacing them with the new ones.

The file includes v1 v2 v3 v4 v5

You will need Win Rar to open the compressed file you will have to direct Winrar to open the file.

Download Win Rar 3.80 Graphic and comand line here > http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm

Download dll's here > http://depositfiles.com/files/8879191

Could you please upload them somewhere else? For about 4 days now the website has told me that all slots for my country are full. I doubt that there are that many people from the netherlands downloading them, they are just trying to get me to pay for a gold account. BTW all official links are dead, pretty amateur.

Hi Alpha,

It looks like your rar is misisng the latest DLLs. The latest is a set issued on March 13, 2008. It is buried on page 5 of the "New set of DLLs, from February 27th, 2008" thread.

The files can be found here, they are still available, posted by KYA.
