...after playing around with the Custom Keypad app some more, for the life of me I can't see how you can import a picture to use as a background image.

However, I've found KeyPadPro which also does the business AND lets you use a background photo.

..so...no Air Display or touch buddy required if you are wanting to use an iPad as a cockpit controller.

But, if I understand correctly, you still need it to show the in-flight map or check the position of the gear indicator. Am I right?

And one question for Phat, I have read Air Display reviews where they say that a lot of CPU goes into it. This would be terrible for my PC, which needs all its CPU cycles for CoD
Any input about this?

Thank you!

Thank you!
..I think you are right..what I'm getting is the ability to display custom designed control panels with button, slider and rotary touch buttons.

As far as I know it doesn't give you any display FROM the Clod application.

Did a search for Keypadpro/key pad pro and couldn't find it, but I have found an app called KeyPad Plus Pro.

Is this the one that's being talked about?

I think I understand what you are asking? Correct me if wrong.

The Map provided with my profile is the one that some kind soul provided here in the forum last year (I forget the user name - sorry). It is a static Map only, it will not display your aircrafts position.

If you press flaps down (as an example), you will go from Neutral to Down, and the animation for the flaps lever in CLoD will also go from Neutral to Down (same with the Gear selector).

On my TB Profile (remember this is for the Hurricane only), the gear selector in Clod for Port and Starboard wheels Up/Down will also change from Red/Green or vice versa. (You hear them coming up or down anyway. If you have Buttkicker, you feel them coming up or down too).

How do I change the backgrounds and buttons in your profile to fit the iPad 3's resolution? The 800x600 displays so small on there, it's actually harder to use than the regular keyboard

Everything would have to be resized and positioned in the touchbuddy app.
