Apparently there is no problems with core DLL`s...Except some texture flickering along the coast lines for some 8800 series owners, yes?

There are no issues with increased visibility while setting LandGeom=3...

There is an issue with sound dlls, that kinda not related to this topic, but i`ll make a note of it. The issue seems to be with early AMD XP series and some AMD 64s....

Did i get it right?
The blue "flickering textures" bug on aircraft 3D models is still an issue! Many 8800 owners report having this problem, no matter what driver is used, and no matter what settings are used. I really think all 8800 owners have it, but it manifests itself on a random basis, and some may not have noticed it, unless looking at an aircraft in external view. If you use an 8800 you frequently see the blue flashing textures on the wings and cowling.

FoolTrottel and I have posted numerous screen shots on the nVidia issues thread at ubi, and in here. Several screen shots that accurately show this problem are documented in this thread:http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/t...1711062135/p/6

This is a very good image of the problem:

This seems to be an issue only with mid generation ATI cards. There is someone with an ATI 9800 Pro on the Simhq forum that developed the same problem after the patch.

Until I installed the *.dlls from the "HQ foam pack" that was posted at UBI several years ago the water is pitch black and flat (think a "void with no stars"). When it is installed I can get the highest quality ATI type waves, complete with foam etc.

Its fully replicable and is ties to the various *.DLL files and popular, mid generation ATI cards.

8800GTX, 169.09 Forceware Driver

I get the flickering, same in 4.09 as 4.08, I've uploaded a video of it to photobucket

For anyone wanting to test if they have the problem, the track KI-61 Vs B-24 that comes with the game, shows the problem at around 30 seconds in on my rig.

Many thanks for posting the video of this issue. It's an issue that really needs to be addressed.

P2.4 533fsb
2GB Corsair ram
X1950 512mb agp cat 7.6
Audigy sound card

Have no issues with new dll files concerning game performance except for the new water colour. The Pacific fine weather colour is now like blue custard and the Atlantic colour is a green version of the above custard.I use cs Thors dll files when I want to fly over water.I never really had the black water issue like some people with ATI cards. The water was darker than Nvidea users but not black.
I have also found that the new dll files have eliminated the "micro stutters"that I had before under 4.08.Overall an improvement for me.Lastly I have installed over a hacked sound version of the game.

One possible issue (very minor) I stumbled on while using the increased view distance option: Torpedo wakes are visible from a very long range, something like 10km or so. Much longer than they should be visible.

I stumbled on this while playing a QMB mission on the Crimea map. There are two groups of vessels just off shore that have their own little battle, including the launching of lots of torpedoes. After I was finished with the air-to-air bit I was practicing, I flew over to the ships to watch the battle. I saw several wakes in the water long before I saw the ships. The wakes turned out to be from torpedoes.

4.09 beta installed via JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler over 4.08m (not modded).

eVGA Nvidia 8800 GT w/512mb
