Actually....while on this topic, are all these inconcistencies purely related to the CE map or are these errors manifested in the game map too? i don't have the CE.

OK on first inspection of the map in FMB, Manston is more or less ok, but ramsgate airfield is a massive paved runway?.......big 'NO', ramsgate municipal airport was always a small grass field, the airfield marked as Maidstone would in all probability be West Malling, and there is no sign of Detling, and that willingdon airfield 'is' also on the mission map, so there is some 'fixin' needed.

OK, I stand corrected, sort of. I didn't know Ramsgate airfield existed, so assumed the one marked as Ramsgate on the CE map was Manston. Either way, the map should show 2 airfields, Manston and Ramsgate.

You are right about West Malling and Detling ... see below.

Ramsgate, sorry, not Margate (was going from memory, d'oh!).

It really is enough to make you weep and is symptomatic of a general malaise about the CoD release; poor co-ordination, planning and cross-checking (probably due to lack of time). These are not difficult errors to correct and simply should not have occurred if anyone in the team had read a book about the BoB.

Might have given them pause for thought about the 'Rogue Pilot' plot, as well...

Last one, and then I'll shut up.

Southend (spelled on the CE map as Sounthend) was known at the time as RAF Rochford, a satellite field for RAF Hornchurch and so frequently used by 54 Sqn et al.

PPanPan out

EDIT ... just noticed this was brought to the attention of the devs back in April 2010, presumably well before the cloth map was printed? http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showpos...&postcount=136

I hadn't noticed the cloth map issue as it's just 'a nice touch' but the FMB should be more accurate.

Anyone noticed 'signal ground crew to remove brake shoes' is still there in the menus?

I pointed this one out in the relevant update too.

Ah well.

I know mine isn't......thats it!!, last straw, how dare 1C exclude my house, I don't care if it was built in the 50's, I have been flight simming for 80 years and they owe me big, and if they don't put my house there with bells on and a proper coloured garden.......there will be hell to pay.

Your house is there, but it's 200 miles NNE of it's real location. Oh, and they've misspelled it
