I have it force vsync in the nvidia control panel and it seems to work. I don't notice any tearing.
Performance for me has not improved with the patch. But setting texture quality to performance in the nvidia control panel raised the fps by ~15%.
Still much stuttering flying over cities. Also stuttering when approaching bombers (I guess when the LOD changes to high detail, and the textures have to be loaded).
I would also conclude that the main problem is the loading of terrain and textures, cuasing the sim to freeze.
