Game Balence. In good multiplayer games powerfull weapons need more skill to use or are very limited in number. BoP strike mode has NO balence at all. A piloting god flying a stuka is going to get destroyed 100% every time by a zero skilled newb that has boosted to get a B-17.

Strike matches are 99.9% played with unlimited ammo. Where in the history books does it state that the P-47 had magical respawning bomb system?

If you do put limited ammo on then the game just degenerates into multiple kamikazi runs to the targets. Without any incentive to stay alive and not crash this mode just doesn't work imho. It needed a big reduction in tickets for each plane lost, 25 tickets maybe, not just 1. And it needed a home base to return to and rearm, repair at.

Lets face it, the multiplayer for this game is shit. Its fun to play with friends were you don't really care about scoring, but as a competative game against people you don't know it is very, very bad.

people need to learn to take games for what they are, not customized to noe persons likings, a console game has to attract ALLOT of different types of gamers, so IL-2 BoP is made to attract ALLOT of gamers. The developers did a great job, its not IL-2 1946 but its not meant to be. People need to enjoy the game for what it is, not what it could be to their satisfaction.

Default is this possible??

i have yet to play on line...never been there yet. so i am clueless as to what the perameters are. BUT is it possible if someone has their own server to create a room(s) for playing BoP and such? one that can be maybe regulated/moderated...different limits set...etc. i know a guy who is a whiz at computers...has servers...but is not a gamer. he would be willing to work on it if it is possible/feasible. or does the game system maunfacturers or the game developers have the monopoly on this??

You can set up private slots and limit the number of players who can join when you create and host a MP game. One sided matches will put people off for sure. I and most of the Xbox SIM regulars prefer to organise teams so that both have experienced pilots. Good comms is important in CTA, Strike and Team Battles but for some reason not all players wear headsets or, when they are, don't communicate. Low numbers partaking then single airfield......large numbers then two airfields are usually the best game options.

Heres a fun fact... In this game, if you get smoked by someone guess what? You RESPAWN!!!! It's a game guys, enjoy it. Now I know there is a high level of competition, and we all want to be Top Dog ruling the skies, but I think we all take this game WAY too seriously at times, me included. If a teammate can't land his plane, help him out (weren't we all in that same boat when we first played?) There are many, many players that are more willing to help than not. I also play socom confrontation, and the amount of A#@holery in that game is astronomical. IL-2 has for the most part a really good community. I for one am greatful for all the guys who helped me out when I started playing online. By the way, if a bunch of players group together to fly in B-17's come to terms with the fact that you're gonna loose, so do the next best thing... grab the baddest fighter you can fly, rack up the kills, smile, and enjoy!

Yes that is fun if you exept that you will lose before the game even starts.
I often take my Me262 and watch the bombers disintergrate lol.

Most of us do enjoy the game for what it is. But when you compare BoP to any other multplayer game you see how limited it is. People are used to games like call of duty and Battlefield with many options and different modes and differnet ways to play the game. And when a game like BoP can't even get scoring working right for a freeforall battle, that is shit in comparison. We have made the most of it because we have no other choise, no other WWII flight game (not arcade). Can you imagine if a game like BoP came out with a multiplayer as expansive as MW2 or BC2 with continued support from the developers and publisher fixing bugs and adding new content and other stuff we have come to expect from our games? No one would still be playing BoP thats for sure.

lol yeah, but then the bombers tend to fly straight to their targets. I dive down on them at almost 500mph and nail them from long range with the 4 mk108s before they even know i'm there
