Cant get flap down for landing in the 109, which I am now flying for first time for proper.
I have not changed any default key assigns, and am using F and V but flaps will not go down the command window text just shows flaps neutral then flaps up, but never down.
And if I hit autopilot sometimes the autopilot will put the flaps down, and I cant get them up!
Like I said I have not adjusted the command keys for flaps, so can someone help with right procedure for 109E in Cliffs of Dover?
Many advance thanks

Ok, thx for help, not ;)
But I have solved in case anyone else has with this problem
You have to HOLD key down in 109 to simulate turning wheel. Not just press.

They used a useless feedback option for Bf-109 "HUD" indicator for flaps, radiador and prop pitch, (and bomb bay in some planes) rather than show how % are open, or if are full open or full closed - like in others planes - only tells if command is pressed "Up/Down" or in "Neutral"...
A possible workaround: use HOTAS soft (or NewView) and program keystrokes to act for XXX milliseconds, so you dont need watch until flaps go full down.
This allows too "cheating" creating a command for "combat flaps". :)

I have flaps of slider, x52 pro throttle. Could I use keys for flap as suggested to control extension incrementaly AND use the slider for full out/in?

zahnartz62,
The question is how axis control flaps in CloD.
For example, in Bf-109 or Hurricane, a slider (axis) to flaps control only work like a ON-OFF switch.
Slider in middle flaps in neutral.
Slider below 50% flaps begin to lower until to the full extended.
To stop the movement it's need put slider in middle course.
Slider above 50% flaps start to raised until to the full retract.
The real advantage of use slider (axis) is that you dont need look at flaps wheel to confirm if flaps are lowering or raising.
Just put the slider up or down that the flaps will lower or raise until the end of the course. Like you do.
On the other side, using keys (F, V) is more practical to lower/raise flaps incrementally.
Just release the key press when the flaps reaches the desired position (ie. 18% for Hurricane take off).
Using a slider this involve move the slider to center position to stop the motion.
Anyway you can use both system alternately. ;)
