Join a squad, fly 1 hour a day, and talk to them, the higher the ammount of true-born speakers the better, but if there are some weird accents in the mix it will also improve your compreension skills.
you will be swearing like a true brit in 2 months, and having fun while doing it.
that did the trick for me 3 years ago.

There really isn't an easy way to learn "perfect" English as there are so many dialects/slang/short cuts used as normal now.
Speak slowly and speak out each word, too many foreigners speak English but far too quick and end up gabbling.

The el cheapo version of a language course abroad. :)
Imho the best option.
PS: Make sure it's not local squad from Mississippi or Oakland...

Saludos!

Not sure at all what you say, mate. you might just be put aside or even be ignored by he majority because of you lack of understanding and not being fluent enough in english : Your choice will be then easy: either you fight twice ( against enemy aircraft and against your english) or you'll give up.hope it won't occur to you and that you will find the squadron you need.
Best wishes.

Hope these terms are of use.
Cobber - your friend, as in "Howz it goin' Cobber?"
Drongo - simpleton, lacking in intelegence, as in "I aint gona hang aound you drongoes no more"
Crikey - an expression of surprise, as in "Crikey! That stingray just got me!"
Strewth - An expression of surprise, as in "Strewth! I didn't know a drongo like you could write!"
Sheila - A female, as in "Cop the over hang on that Sheila!"
Mate - has many meanings as in your friend (see cobber), your enemy as in "Listen mate, get yer eyes off my shiela", Someone you've just met as in "Hey mate, When can a bloke get a root around here?"
Root - to foricate.
Ooop! Sorry, you're trying to improve your English, not your Australian!

Could you improve mine? What is a 'Miss Shilling's Orifice'?
EDIT: I found out what it is:

It was a fuel flow restrictor designed to mitigate the effects of carburetor and supercharger flooding in RAF planes during negative-g maneuvers. The aircraft in this game just missed out on this feature I am told. Was designed by a very cool Beatrice 'Tilly' Shilling who as well as being a boffin was well into motorcycle racing.

Having a talk radio playing in the background all day long helps pronunciation a lot from my experience. In a couple of months you get a natural feel of the language without any extra time spent.
A nice and free radio player http://www.radiosure.com/downloadz/
