Actually I browse here less and less except on friday for the update. Have better things to do on my spare time after work :) Bringing back to life an E34 model BMW M5 1993 requires some work and patience :D Not too many of those beasts alive anymore :(

Mine was built 18th of august 1993 so birthday soon :-) Old but damn so fun to drive! Sure parts are a bit costly but at least get them from Germany :-) EDC Suspension on the list to get it back online, right front broken so have to use normal shocks until get new ones. But still..M5 is a legend :-)

Our cars are almost brothers then, mine is built 25.8! Daytona violet with Nurburgring packet. EDC is disabled too with Bilstein B8, need softer springs thought. Now it feels like there is not suspension at all!
But yes, very fun car to drive, and there is no better engine sound than S38! (well maybe DB 601/5 but that's different thing...) :)

I have the Nürburgring package too and a lot more. Seems the first owner was after luxury too :) Factory installed Webasto, lot of leather etc. Shame that at some point the original rear window dash with electric sunscreen has gone missing and was replaced by some audiodeck :( Frantically trying to find a black(anthrazit) rear window dash now with the sunscreen in place..all the wirings are luckily there though!

What also bothers me is why on earth must people mess with the wirings?! Took me a week to find the original audio wirings, most of them were intact but you can guess that missing are: amplifier from luggage compartment, BMW Bavaria Professional C player etc. GAAH! Friend of mine had a similar amplifier stored so saved by that! Now the hunt for the wiring behind the dashboard for the radio..

And oh man does that S38B38 roar when putting it thru the paces. It is sheer joy and you need no audio system for that :D I am more than lucky to have the engine and transmission etc. intact, it has been taken care of over the years. Only some rust to get rid of and Beast is good to go :)

Some day..to Germany in my M5 and to see the Bf109G-6 or G-10 flying..oh man :)
