I started skinning a Hurricane, but found that the weathering always seems to be turned on (mostly fully on), and it makes skinning judgements difficult. Is this something wrong in my set-up, or something to do with the present state of the game? Altering the slider in the plane options doesn't help.

(I had heard this was an issue with the Spitfires, but not with the Hurri's).

I don't think I could give you an accurate answer regarding the weathering on the Hurri because the issues you speak of were noticed by myself on the bf109 aswell (sometimes it's there, and sometimes it isn't).

I always thought that it was just another "symptom" of the overall, unfinished product we know as IL2:COD.

Afraid the answer is a big fat YES, always on, but at least the Hurricane looks reasonable (on the lower end), the Spitfire looks like a sand blasted reject and so stupid I don't know hao it got past any sort of checks (if there were any)
