Well, let's see if there's anything to be jealous of. Didn't think they'd let me on the alpha though since it was over a month ago I applied.

I applied before that I think. Hurumph! Looking forward to you reporting back - or are you under a strict NDA?

I guess the game is trying to attract MMORPG players, who wanted to have aerial battles in WOW. Or maybe ex AION players who miss their wings. I don't think anyone who plays CoD will ever want to have it installed.

I am so jealous... Oh well, at least their web site now has a lot more information to digest, and shows how a more polished product should be!

Defiantly do, they are taking two guys to court. Look out for me Original_Meusli!

What are they taking people to court for? Saying that the game is kinda shit?

Making videos of the closed beta.

Just read the game details on their site, must say it's pretty damn big world.
Also, plane's list is jaw-dropping. And it doesn't stop after WWII with some fantasy planes ( ala 1946, who cares;)) but also Korea conflict planes like MiG-15/Sabre.
Hope the game can diliver me enough feel of realism like in old IL-2 ( which is enough for me, full switch though), from the videos I've seen it does seem to be all right, but I'm not too sure.

You call that realism?

That's World of WARplanes, not the same game ;)

Exactly. Also, I would prefer one of the beta players to tell me, that is if they're allowed to :)

Balls. Seems the companies intend to confuse people , I applied for the alpha test but applied for the wrong game ,I got the key for world of WARplanes - not world of planes. World of Warplanes was nothing like I expected after seeing video on youtube for world of planes.

Confused :)

This whole thread is about World of Warplanes, not World of Planes.

I'll make it simple for you guys:

1. War Thunder: World of Planes developed by Gaijin who also developed Wings of Prey etc.

2. World of Warplanes: developed by Wargaming.net known for their World of Tanks

War Thunder is now in closed beta whilst World of Warplanes is in closed alpha (the one I'm in).

I was wondering why they only have an external view on World Of Warplanes after I swear I saw good cockpit shots of it;)
