One type of movie is a documentary or recreation of some WWII event. Here is the Wiki story about Franz von Werra (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franz_von_Werra) who was a famous Luftwaffe fighter pilot who crash landed his Bf109 in England on 5 Sep 1940. He later was the only Luftwaffe POW ever to escape and return to Germany. Details of his being shot down, who shot him down, etc, are available. Here is another link for von Werra information (http://www.luftwaffe.cz/werra.html). Also see the RAF pilot's account of the event here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerald_Stapleton).
Also, his 109 paintscheme is well documented in photos and a Skin has been made of it for COD. See this thread (http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=29872).

I'm sure someone can do a better job than this video: http://wn.com/Franz_von_Werra (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6kGskY8Vhw)

Here is an excerpt from the Big Screen movie about von Werra...See the landing at 1:32 to 1:40

There are many photos of von Werra which could be used along with COD visuals of his dogfight and crash landing, to give some "life" and immersion/emotion to a COD Movie on this event. Here are just a few from a quick Google Image search...the last image is, of course, a COD recreation:
