I created an online map with cows, sheep and gulls.
I start Clod,go to multiplayer and then server.I create a server using my map.I then join the game(same machine). The cows, sheep and gulls are there.
All is right with the world.
Now I have created a dedicated server and run it through HyperLobby.I use the same map.I join the server through HyperLobby(on a different machine that the server machine).Every thing appears to be the same except there are no cows, sheep or gulls.
Are dedicated servers an animal free zone?

The dedicated is arguably not complete, a number of things don't work as per player hosted setup.
Or maybe dedicated server is vegeterian:razz:

Many things don't work in the dedicated server environment compared to launching from the game / FMB. I stopped testing from in-game long ago because of it.
Off the top of my head, the most annoying one's are grouped convoys not pulling trailers, lights/smoke/fire that don't work, wrong waypoint speed on many objects, cargo in trains (actor skins section) and other vehicles that don't show up.
I remember making a ground scenario where supplies needed to make it to a certain area in a certain amount of time. It was somewhere around 30 groups of 6-7 vehicles per this massive convoy all pulling anything from ammunition, fuel, bombs, repair parts etc..
Everything looked good through the FMB. Went to fire it up on the console server and every single trailer that was attached to every single vehicle in the convoy simply fell off and was sitting there along the road while the vehicles all took off on their happy way. Every since then (back in August of last year I believe), I just run it through the console server for everything. It's just not worth it lol.
Related to the cows. Here's a funny video from ATAG_Dutch:

Bliss correctly identifies some of the issues. There is a huge disconnect between running the missions in FMB, player-hosted online games & dedicated server games. Object appear in one & not the other, objects behave differently in one compared to the other. It is extremely frustrating. The dev's have chosen to move onto BOM rather that address some of these fundemental flaws in the game which only adds to the frustration. I believe that 1C will continue to lose the goodwill of the sim community if they don't urgently address some of these issues.

I notice the cows ans sheep move without moving their legs.It reminds me of the old "electric" football kids game.
Thanks for the replies about the differences in game hosted and dedicated games.
