I applaud to the new point & ban system: I hope it will clean more effectively the users' side, and conversely allow a more open communication by the developers. I am just afraid that it is still too mild. I propose therefore the following improvements:

1. Points are taken also on your driving licence (only in some countries): the idea of going on foot in this -10 C weather will force even the most reluctant troll to a more civil behavior

2. Points worth money: this idea will also help funding the development of new theaters, planes etc.

3. Ban points can be redeemed: a post full of praise and appreciation for Luthier & Team should be rewarded with bonus points. A scale of points mirroring the ban-points should be envisaged, to reward the poster proportionally to their devotion to the series, e.g.
1) “The game works fine”: -5 pts
2) “The Launcher.exe bug is fixed”; -10 pts
3) “Since I have installed CoD my sexual life is greatly improved”: -15 pts
4) “Oleg never promised the xxxx feature”: - 25 pts
5) “The game was never meant to be DX11 blabla”: 5 pts
6) “The Spitfire IIa FM is the only one historically accurate”: 30 pts

4. Points will be renamed: new categories will be introduced, to enjoy better the whole forum experience: 10 points will be 1 Cherry, 2 Cherries will be a Lemon, 2 Lemons will be a Tomato, and 5 Tomatoes will be 1 Banana (). The top scorer will be elected the “Top Banana” and get a free copy of BOM, or whatever. Weekly "top tens" will be published to please the masses.

5. Alternative treatments: instead of ban, the culprit could choose to receive a physical punishment, to be recorded and posted in the “video” section. This will increase greatly the audience and attract new customers, namely sadists and masochists. Again, a scale of increasing pain and humiliation must be defined, but I’m sure that for this task the mods won’t need any suggestions from us … :D

6. Point free day: in order to balance things and avoid accusations of limiting the free speech, each member will be allowed to post freely, with no penalization, in his/her will in his/her birthday, provided that it falls on the 30th day of the second month of the year.

These are only ideas, of course, and I’m open to discuss them with B6 and the moderators … :D.

Have a nice day,
Insuber

LOL you forgot to mention that at a certain number of points you're automatically eligible for an all inclusive 2 years' holiday at a Gula..cough..resort in the sunny Siberia

I'm ok with the rules, my only 2 cents is that banning political and/or religious conversation in a forum about a WW2 simulation is a bit of a contradiction in terms..

It would be nice if it said "conversations on political or religious matters are allowed as long as they're civilised" ;)

Why go to Siberia for holiday when Siberia comes to us every winter nowadays?

Leave it to a Frenchman to confuse us all. Have another glass of Chardonnay and eat your bisquit.

We could have some real heated religious discussions, but alas that is against the rules of this forums.

You can always get onto Google and search for some sites where the flames prevail. I suggest that, because you will get banned for it here.

This is a gamer site.
