Other than flight sims I play rts as well and one title that has surprised me recently was King Arthur - The role playing wargame.
I first heard about it when I was browsing steam and found a 75% off deal, the images looked good and it had not being on the market that long so I had a look at some of the reviews and they were very positive, I didnt think much of the setting, however since it was only ~£3 I brought it.
So far I have logged over 140 hours in the main campaign which I am now close to finishing and it's has two small campaigns released that I still have yet to play. It is definitely one of the best rts I have played and is best described as a mythical/magic orientated total war style game, which is a winning formula.
Since then I have brought other rts including shogun 2 and I completed that campaign in under 60 hours and that was with mistakes that forced me to stop my expansion.
Buts it's not all about length the graphics are awesome and rpg part of it is pretty cool.
So yesterday I preordered the second game and a standalone game that explains what happens between 1 and 2.
If you play rts's games keep an eye out for deals on steam as the sequel will be released soon and you really shouldn't miss out on it.
