Does anyone have this working? I just bid for a stick which I may be about to win  because my original brief research seemed positive but now one owner is talking about non-compatibility with Windows 7.

Does anybody have this working already? Please answer before I win!!!!

It can be made to work in win7 but there is no native support so you have to use 3rd party opensource stuff, but it works.

Where u got this from? I just plugged it in and it works.
I know about the native support but still it works flawlessly.

Osprey, I've been watching that stick but managed to win one earlier this afternoon. I thought his comments were a bit strange. Lots of my squadmates run this stick with Win7 and it's just plug and play, m8.

I do not have a FF2 but a Precision pro.It works fine with windows 7.

I seem to recall reading that the FF2 works fine in W7 but the Microsoft software does not.I assume that to be key macros and forces.

Ooops, sorry but.........y'know. Been trying to get my hands on one for ages but they do seem to get snapped up quickly and not cheap now either. I think RoF and CoD has increased demand.

Good luck. They still seem to come up fairly often.

MS FF2 USB work in Wi7 with Windows native HID drivers.

What dont work is Microsoft programing software.

No major problem, just assign buttons in game GUI, or if are used to "program joy buttons to press keys"... use freeware keymapper like SVMapper, JoyToKey, Autohotkey... Or payware (10$) Xpadder.

To tune FF effects edit proper files - in case of CloD locate in
....\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover\parts\core\FF

Ive been using my red button MS FFB Pro2 USB with both IL2-46 and IL2-COD
on Vista Home Premium without the Sidewinder software. The force feedback
works great and I like it better than either my TM Cougar (FCC1) or WartHog.

The last Windows OS where the Sidewinder software worked is on my WinXP
system. There are ways to get it to run on Vista or Win7, but why bother.

As it was said before, just map the stick buttons right in the IL2 control GUI.

THe problem I have with IL2 and controllers, is if you use TM MFDs, you have
to unplug them else they mess with the joystick IDs that the stick needs.

How you getting on with the bidding, Osprey?
Mine arrived this morning. Plugged it in. Tested in IL2, RoF and CoD.
I'm in lurvvvvvvvv!

Is your hand on the stick? Does not work unless the IR sensor is covered.
