I got rid of that ugly Bouchon and in this particular copy put a II./JG27 Berlin Bear on the cowling for my squad. Suddenly we're back in 1943 Tunisia...don't you think? The buildings are blurry enough so you can't tell they're modern and the terrain is just right.

shmae for the clouds..... i dont think tunisia would have that kind of clouds...

but yet it feels rather good that image, its hard to think of it as a realisitc, since im not used to it having colours, and this ammount of detail...

its like seing a documentary of WW2 in colour... it feels strange, and so more recent, then the usual black and white.

You can have bad weather and heavy rain in Tunisia, I experienced it myself in September 1997 :)

Nice pic!

I think I'm saying that you are seeing it in real life like you've all of a sudden zapped back in time. That's why the Bouchon is gone. You would have a hard time identifying different aircraft if you only saw B&W.

i know.. but it feels strange ( in a good way, not like it feels bad) ... i like it.

Difficult to work with due to the "noise" on the original.

Any attempt I made to clean it up in PS made it look worse.

You could use the background with the bf110 :)

Yes it is and it is flyable. If you watch the CD "Two Messerschmitts One Summer" you'll see at the end that it is flyable just not flown anymore. I have put a Berlin Bear on that particular copy for my squad II./JG27 if that puzzles any of you.

maybe photoshop the Bouchon so it looks like a regular 109 / non Bouchon, but then it'd look like 2 diff squadrons flying from diff theaters . . . and not work with the Tunisia angle

S!

Slightly off topic, but weren't these guys working on Black 6 also work on a Bf109K-4? To be restored to flyable condition but not flown. Can't remember where I read it.

They come both ways but 90% of the time on the non scoop side the Bear is facing back. He is always facing forward on the supercharger side
