It used to be a cultural thing but now I find that it happens in every country in every walk of life. I'm talking about over promising and under delivering.

I don't get the reasoning behind it. If I were Luthier I would have said "sometime next week" even I knew it wouldn't be out in time so it bothers me that people do this, why don't they give themselves some breathing space and manage people's expectations?

I know he said "no earlier than Monday" but he shouldn't have mentioned a day at all. I'm not surprised, I wasn't expecting it to be on time.

now, any sane reason would read that as in it should not take longer than another day at most to fix the damn thing and get the near Friday release on track for Monday..

But we're already on Tuesday late afternoon and still no sign of the famous patch.. which means either that the Friday "we've almost did it" was simply a lie, either.. sorry, I can't make any other sense to it..

Even more on this, the patch is a beta one, as in not intended for official release. But it is also not intended for us to test it neither, as none of the beta patches were released as they were (ie all of the officially released ones had another patch number, ie they were in fact other patches).. thought the same when he posted that...its a Beta so release it so we can test the sound, the FM fixes, the colors, the new AC..Im pretty sure no one cares about a map and 'that' could of made the official release..

Hehehe. Actually, if you want to be pedantic about it 'no earlier than before end of day monday' does not preclude the possibility of it arriving at the end of day monday. It simply means 'at that time, or later'. Neeer Neeer. :grin:

Luthier works for 1C. Clod is a product. If Luthier says "end of monday" the natural interpretation is that he means end of their workday.
And as Luthier and 1C operates in Moscow it's their timezone.
Now, the only thing we don't know is when their workday ends. I'm not russian but 08.00 - 17.00 seems to be standard business hours around the globe.

So I started this thread 1.45 hours before 17.00 moscow time. Most posts in this thread asking for the patch is AFTER 17.00 moscow time.
