I know its very early to start planning projects for Birds of Steel but this may help make the wait seem shorter lol
Anyway, here are some of my ideas:
1. Squadrons: (2 Squadron Leaders, 8 Flight Leaders)
(hope we have option of skins so that we can assign skins to Flight Groups)
a) Allies Aircraft Squadron - divided into 4 Flights of 6 pilots, plus 1 Flight of Reserves
b) Axis Aircraft Squadron - divided into 4 Flights of 6 pilots, plus 1 Flight of Reserves
2. Co-op Campaign Flight group Challenge:
- Basically a leaderboard for the highest scoring Squadron (represented by a Flight group or Flight Groups) for each mission.
- Campaign Coop missions must include 4 players
- Due to time zone differences or other situations where a Flight Group cant coincide to meet 4 of their 6 players to play a mission they can get together with an allied Flight Group to play a mission (maximum of 2 players per Flight Group)
- Top Scores will be submitted by Squadron Leader once a week.
3. Allies vs Axis - Squadron Battles
- These would take place once every 2 weeks
- Basic Team Dogfights between enemy Flight Groups
- minimum of 3 vs 3
- we can use the 2 week break to organize and schedule challenges
- points will go towards the Squadron's Reputation but matches will be fought only between Flight Groups
4. Special Operations
- These may be Strike Mode or Capture the Airfield
- 1 Special Operations match every 2 weeks
- 5 vs 5 (one pilot from each Flight Group plus the Squadron Leader)
- Squadron Leader must be present
5. Ace Duels
- Challenge another Ace to gain popularity or to affect the enemy Squadron's Morale in case you defeat him/her (Squadron points)
- Duels must be posted by the challenger and approved by both Squadron Leaders
- number of Duels may be limited by time frame and/or quantity
- How to become an Ace? and other questions cant be answered yet as I dont have the information I need for these details
6. Points
- All of the challenges above help the overall Squadron Points which will be the main objective of this "project"
- Points are yet to be assigned
7. Squadron Leaders and Flight Group Leaders
- Wingmen report results to Flight Group Leaders
- Flight Group Leaders report results to Squadron Leaders
- Squadron Leaders report results to Me
- Said Leaders must be pilots who promise to commit to their duties for the good of the Group (Flight/Squadron/Forum Community), not necessarily because of their skill with a plane.
- This system will make my job much easier when it comes to update Leaderboards and stats
- Also, I wont end up with 100 PSN messages per day with attached results lol (really hope we can still use the screenshot option or else this will all be in vain :S )
Well, started this thread asking for ideas for a "future project" and it seems that I created one in the process lol
* Please post your thoughts and opinions, and dont worry I dont mind if nothing comes out of this thread right away because there is still PLENTY of time before the game releases :) I just thought we might get the little snowball to start rolling
It was nice saying hi, by the way :)
