Hi guys Wonding if some of you vets could shed some light on your settings for flying
I have my Thrustmaster joystick setting is on eazy.
I have no lag issues even on high
When i play the game offline quick missions at start the aircraft pulls up slightly with hands off the joystick when i push down the plane then go's down but centered joystick it pulls up again
I'm sure its the trim wheel but when i use the arrow keys to look at the trim wheel it go's back to centre view. so i can not move the wheel to adjust to level flight
Also Can anyone tell me what they have there dead zone settings at? Flight seems sloppy and not really fun to fly Thanks
PS i have looked in fourms for a thread ..couldn't find it

Hi. My opinion, it's not dead-zone issue, but i dont understand: it's view problem, or trimm control problem?
If view, press F9 (change between "snap" and "pan" view), and try again.
If trimm, then what I would do firstly (after the joy calibration, of course), I would check the settings of the control keys. Maybe you use the same key to the trimm control, and to the view control (check the keyboard and axis settings).
If u try with 109, there is clearly visible the trimm moving animation, and the precise value (-0,5 - 0,5)

It's a settings problem First when im in flight the plane always pulls up (slightly)
so i have to push (slightly) downwards - elevator trim ... I think using "pan" view will fix this so i can adjust my wheel
I think i maybe had to default my settings and start from scratch
Thanks for the help

I'm having the same issue as the OP. I'm using a Logi Extreme 3d pro stick. When I leave the stick alone the plane goes up and to the right. I've tried fixing this with the main 3 and prop trims but they seem do absolutely nothing? I also use this with BOP and Apache air assault and don't have these issues with it? Do we have to map the trim keys to anything specific for them to work?
Any help would be appreciated

Awww man i wish you never had a Logitech 3d pro ...
Reason why i say that is .. I had the same controller I use to play a online game called fighter ace and I would get problems with the game config and the computer file of the logitech settings config fighting each other I think once you do a joystick caibration test it messes up the game and your controller turns hard to the left or right and you have to turn all the over to the right just to fly level yes? ... the fix was to delete the test file ... cant remember what it was but i'll search it for you and come back and let you know ... my problem is diffrent here ..its working the trim and dead zones and what i should have for button settings

I would start from scratch as it sounds like you have conflicting settings. The settings interface is horrible but so is pretty much every other aspect of the interface, but I digress...
At the least you'll want to reassign your view pan settings, or if you have TrackIR disable them completely and free up some key/joystick assignments.
Starting from scratch sucks but you can add what you need as you go along and realize you need something else, i.e. elevator trim, crosshair illumination, etc. just make sure you save your settings under a unique filename just in case a patch update messes things up.
In hands-off flight your plane will naturally want to go up and to the left/right depending on the plane because of torque and trim. That might sound obvious but since you're only a jet jock you never know... ;)
