View Full Version : Jumpy/Laggy/Twitchy controls?

Is anyone else getting lag or stutters from their analog controls in game?

I've noticed that my flight stick in the cockpit is delayed and slightly jumpy. Even when I tone all of my graphics settings down to lock in a solid 60+ FPS, the flight stick still seems sloppy.

If I run the CH manager or open windows control manager and watch the actual input numbers, they read very precise and sequential ("1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9...") Even when I move the stick fast, the numbers are very consistant.

In the game input, the numbers jump around significantly: ("1, 2, 15, 42")

I am using a CH Fighterstick, and I don't have this issue in any other flight sims (Including IL2 1946).

Is there maybe something in the config that I can change to make the controls run smooth?

Hi,

you are not alone. There was some threads here about control lag. I have it too. Actually this is the reason why I totaly gave up on CloD. It is not a common issue, but there are many who suffer from it. As I know there is no cure for it at the moment.

same issue here too with a thrustmaster cougar

try this, it helped for my input lag:

- enable vsync (helped the most)
- drop settings to a point where the ingame FPS nearly matches your monitors refresh rate.

the numbers displayed in the config screen are not very accurate. it tends to go up in blocks instead of smoothly incrementing.

Tripple buffer (turn on) in the nvidia settings has somthing to do with input lag I think when using v/sync,

Check the prerendered frames setting as well maybe

sup squirrle, good luck.

I've tried Vsync on and off both with application control and without. Triple Buffering is also off.

It isn't an FPS issue. Even at a solid 60+ FPS I get control lag. I notice unusual behavior both in the 3d part of the game and in the 2D controls menu.

the jumpy controls have nothing to do with tripple buffering or fps...

I used to have the problem, but I have upgraded from an 8800gt512mb to a gtx560ti 1gb and I haven't seen the problem since, not sure if that was the fix, or if it was one of the patches?

The one thing I do know is the best improvement I had for CoD was to upgrade to win7 x64, until then I had all sorts of issues with crashing etc.

Saitek x52 here and I have similar issues, but just with the throttle or clicking on the in cockpit buttons. Currently this is unplayable for me.

Make sure you've turned off anthropomorphic controls.

Make sure you've turned off anthropomorphic controls.

I thought they fixed that in a patch? I have it off anyway, as its a cool idea, but doesn't really work properly flying on a computer.
