what are the ideal video settings I should be using with my gpu(gtx560 ti SC 1 gb), I've seen some people with the same card as me running everything maximum settings, would love to see a screen shot of your video settings, please:grin:

here's mine

I think u would benefit from raising your res to at least 1680x1050 instead. I use that and everything on medium with grass, roads etc. checked simply to get high fps without cutting back on graphics to much.

Got the same gpu and cpu as u.

Im running everything high except land texture and land shading and forest medium, roads, shadows and grass on vsync on in control panel not ticked in game and AA 4x but I do run at 1680x1050 which is native to my old 22in runs very smooth over sea and most land, very minor stutters over London down low, if looking over the wing, av. about 20fps down low over London and 40+ in most other situations.

Also my card is the stock Asus card so it only has a slight OC, I havent OCed further yet but will probably bump it up a bit in the future if needed.

Why you don't maximize texture? I tested a lot and have same performance with texture Original or High... What I put OFF now is forest... If I can't crash hitting trees I don't want that they block my vision in MP. No big hit in performance, but it's just eyecandy with some minor hit in FPS but big in MP gameplay.

Yes I run original, I think I meant land detail and land shading.

I actually find it smoother with building amount set to unlimited

I dont, I just use the global settings, with vsync forced on, then its turned off in CoD, it works fine this way.

Thanks for the tips gents, I will try these two things as well.

From my side, removing the tick on SHADOWS, you have a big improvement in fps.

I'm receiving my 560 Ti in a few days, it will complete my new PC rig. I'll comme back to this thread..

But by the way, it depends a lot of the 560 you have :

- Stock Nvidia GTX 560 Ti : GPU @ 822 Mhz, Shaders @ 1644 Mhz, RAM @ 4002 Mhz
- Gigabyte GTX 560 Ti OC : GPU @ 900 Mhz, Shaders @ 1800 Mhz, RAM @ 4002 Mhz. (> easily 8 % better than the stock one)
- Mine : Gigabyte GTX 560 Ti SOC (new series) : GPU @ 950 Mhz, Shaders @ 1900 Mhz, RAM @ 4580 Mhz. (> easily 15 % better than the stock one)
- The most powerful 560 ever built : Gigabyte GTX 560 Ti SOC (not produced anymore as it, reproduced in lower series, the one i'm getting) GPU @ 1000 Mhz, Shaders @ 2000 Mhz, RAM @ 4580 Mhz. (> easily 20 % better than the stock one)

Gigabyte is the constructor which pushed the card at its limits. They got a too important back rate, so changed in a bit lower one. Others did some 560 OCs.
For your information, it seems that the card is easily OCable in terms of RAM frequencies... Some pushed it at average 4800 Mhz without fidgeting the tensions.

Ya, but the card is beefy, and unfortunately I'm still having a bit less airflow in my case as I want, so been running it at stock settings. Still have almost everything (cranked up the forests and land since my SS) cranked up, in my old Q6600, so got to say, I'm impressed with the card still. And $250 cheaper than a 1.2Gb 580.

Yes i totally agree that this card is very good in quality/price ratio : it's almost a GTX 570 (for the 560 Ti SOC) in performances and is 80-100 euros cheaper.
But i'll be totally confident when i have tested it with the CloD monster...
