how many more enemies before Baal?

Callling all players who already finished the game. :)

After going through all islands, when leaving Teana/Verona to fight Baal, is it just the Baal battle waiting for me or are there other minor battles before the Baal fight?

Finally got some time to go back and work on the high score game I left hanging. Am at Tekron right now, then Shettera, and the other islands to finish quests. I do need the info above so that I could better plan when to use my remaining Ancient Knowledge scrolls.

Also, how many enemies are at Ultrax, and in which island is Ultrax accessible? I'm assuming it's at Shettera since I haven't been to that island...

Any help would be most appreciated.

There are 2 or 3 Enemies in Ultrax. Once you leave Teana, there is only the fight against Baal. No preamblic fights of any kind.

Note that in order to get to Ultrax it requires you to do a few things: You must accept the quest to free the demon by killing dragons, and then mentioning something about not being able to find that many dragons. Talk to the roads architect and he'll let you into ultrax (for a fee) to fight some dragons.

Thank you for the very detailed reply regarding Ultrax; I didn't get to see it in my initial scouting of Shettera. I have 5 AK scrolls left, for a total of 25 enemies:

5 at Tekron (4 heroes, 1 regular)
13 at Shettera (5 heroes, 5 regular, 3 dragon-regular)
2 at Dersu (2 bosses)
4 at Nameless (4 heroes)
1 for Baal

I will start suppressing items in between AK chain-fighings.

I'm halfway through level 55 right now; hopefully the above battles and quest experience would get me to level 60.

Unfortunately, no sooner had my contracted project ended (Friday last week), and here's a call for another project to start Monday next week (and would last till mid-July). :( Sigh... I guess I should be happy for the steady stream of work, especially in this economy. Maybe I could sneak in some playing time this week while preparing for that project...

BTW, the 2 dragon fights in Ultrax are only worth about 4-5000exp each.

Yes, I know, I actually ran out of "big XP" to use my remaining AK scrolls. This is due to the availability of AK scrolls on the optimal route that I chose (I'm doing a 7-day run as well).

I was able to use a lot of AK scrolls on other big XP enemies:

On Reha I actually used 3 AK scrolls:

Reha dropped me to zero AK scrolls at hand, then I ended picking up 6 AK scrolls and little enemies left to use it on.

What I missed using an AK scroll on are the battles above listed with (***), and the regular battles at Nameless (the 4 hero battles I was able to save for later).

Quick update: achieved level 60 before fighting Baal!!!

Quite sad though that to reach level 61 I need something like 99,000 more XP. Even if I get something like 60,000XP from the Baal fight, I only have like 3 quests left to complete, and only item suppression battles left to fight... highly unlikely to get me the extra 39,000XP.

Oh well, I'm not going to worry about that for now, I did reach my target of level 60. :-) I'll hopefully finish up with this game first and just check if there is a way for me to load a previous save game to make a run for level 61. :rolleyes:
