Hi everybody,

I have the same problem as the guy in this thread (where nobody answered yet): http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=14125

The games themselves (KB The Legend German DVD version and AP Demo) run perfectly but everytime I enter a combat, change the location or load a saved game, shortly: everytime the loading screen appears the computer hangs for several minutes.
The G15 display shows CPU load of about 5% and the HDD LED flashes every 5-10 seconds, so I think the computer has hardly anything to do.

My system:
Core i7 920
12 GB RAM
Radeon 5850
Win7 64bit

Can anybody help?

Hi, I´ve the same problem with the german version. Half of the time when the loading sreen appears, it seem to freeze at 60-70 % position for several minutes. Sometimes it loads normally ( 10 - 20 seconds ). It´s the same effect in or out of combat or a new area loading. Any ideas ?

AMD Phenom II x 4 955
8 GB RAM
Windows 7 64bit
Radeon 4750 1 GB

Windows 7 64 Home Premium -> Professional
ATI 5800 (I think 5870)
Catalyst 10.2

I have not exhibited any of these problems.

I found this to happen if there are too many saved games. Deleating old saves should help

If u have too many saved games, it can be slow the first time u load a savegame, after that the game should be normal.

Well if u guys have something in the background running, like a self-defense antivirus system, some p2p program, firewalls, etc that slow down the AP process so the loading times increase. But its weird that the problem appears almost only on ATI cards, cuz it doesnt seem to be a graphic issue.

The loadingscreen problem has nothing to do with the number of game saves, because it also happens if you start a new game after a new install. I don´t know if it has something to do with the radeon cards. It can be also a windows 7 64bit issue.

Any ideas out there ?

it would seem ive solved my issue, i swapped out my 1Tb Hitachi Drive to a Seagate one and it has solved the problem, would be interesting to see what drives people are using in this thread

Also encountered this problem. Strange as it sounds, I found out that the loadings times sped up when hard disk was being used by some other process. So try runing another application in the background that keeps accessing the hard disk, e.g. antivirus scan, bittorrent client

Hey Folks,

Just thought I'd pass this on... I too was having ridiculous loading times and not having too much on the web to assist in the matter.

On my samsung laptop, I have switchable graphics ability which allows me to select what type of performance i wish to use (graphically wise) with each program that i run.

I was using High performance which utilises the AMD HD 7670M card in my system and the game was choppy and loading times unacceptable, even when all settings on lowest.

Interestingly enough when I set it to power saving and brought into play the on board Intel HD 4000 graphics chip, the game runs unbelievably fast even when all settings are set on highest.

I hope this helps a few of you out there, yet it seems very clear there is an issue with AMD range of cards or drivers with this game. On that note what would be the best way to address this issue, in order for the potential to have a patch or updated driver for the future?

Cheers all
