How do you change map scale

Im a newbee's and need help in finding my home airbase, how do I increase the map scale to see detail when I get close. I see that right clicking the map brings up scale but no idea how to change scale, can't find help anywhere.

Open your map, hover your mouse cursor over it and use your mouse wheel to zoom in or out
