Game crashing on 2nd level of wizards tower in battle

I enter the battle fine and I can play on it for sometime but then when i'm nearing the end of the battle and about to win the game suddenly crashes. I'm using 1.3.1 patch with a retail copy. It's pretty annoying! Wondered if there's any fixes to this...

This is the only patch i've downloaded so far so if theres any other things I should install please let me know.
