Default British skins on German planes?

Why do all my German planes have British skins?

The user interface was designed by Oleg's brother in law, Sergei. Mrs Maddox put Oleg up to it and made him hire the guy, even though he had no experience in such things. He hadn't had a job for years, was moping around the house and was quite frankly a bit of a no hoper. But it would make the family sooo happy if he just gave him a chance...

Well, that's how I imagine it. I can't believe it was designed by a professional at the top of their game.

Hehe I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that someone seriously screwed the pooch on the QMB interface. What were they thinking? Now in the big scheme of things, with all the other things that are porked it's, for now, a minor thing. They got bigger fish to fry. Once the big things are patched up I do hope they get rid of the Mcdonalds menu lookalike interface. The classic Il2 QMB interface is one of the things that has kept me with this game for the last 10 years. Give us the old interface with maybe a higher number of aircraft than 4 per flight. I also want to be able to pick skins and AI strength for each flight.

This interface was designed for a 100% newcomer to the WWII flightsim scene with no knowwledge of aircraft types. They figured the old timers will use the FMB. Wrong. Can you imagine using this interface with 400 plus aircraft and subtypes as in Il2? With the old QMB interface you can whip something nice together with any aircraft any country and any skin in minutes. When the sim expands with more aircraft and theatres of operations the current interface simply will not do.

Closing on a positive note. I love this sim! Just not the QMB. KISS, Keep it simple stupid.

This has been the most logical explanation for the UI so far.
Just what happened to the original IL2 staff of programmers?
Gulaged because they wanted a wages rise?

The alarm bells started ringing during the early user video's from the shows. I did hope that it was just people not bothering to change skins, but I think it is the way the canned missions were programmed.
il2 '46 QMB was much better.
