Direct control and camera control.

I find it a bit awkward to aim using arrows and to control camera using numeric keypad. In a 3rd person shooter, the camera would rotate automatically keeping your crosshair always in the middle. In MoW, if I see that I got shot from the left flank, first I need to rotate the camera and then I can aim. It takes time and frequently my tank ends up being destroyed.

I would be grateful for any suggestions. I noticed some guys are very good in direct control, but I suck.
