yes unbelievably disappointing, i preordered with tesco online and yesterday i decided to cancel it and order with play.com because tescos hadn't even started picking the order yet. my order is the same status as everybody elses. i am going buying it over the counter tonight and will send play.coms back when it eventually arrives. i usual receive games from play.com on release date (my batman collectors thingy arrived on time last week)

I've just been down to blockbuster and picked it up on Xbox360 for £29.99

Bonus. My play.com order was for PS3 version so I may end up keeping that one too to give me options. I was put off the PS3 version though after hearing about the tearing still evident in the final build, which is why I went Xbox this time.

anyhoo, I'll be playing on it tonight and I'll never use play.com again.

Mail strike in UK? FFS!

The game has representations of Britains Finest Hours and nowadays you can't get a friggin letter delivered. Striking in the middle of the worst economic crisis since the great depression...Postman Pat you are a c**t!

Ugh, really?

My copy was shipped by GAME on Wednesday, which means I was expecting it on Monday. But if there's a strike on, that might not happen…

Now it's going to be even more hellish looking at all the (German) copies of the game on the shelves here.

(Hmm, maybe I'll just pick up a German PS3 copy while waiting for my Xbox 360 game to arrive…)

Right..

Since my order from play.com (uk) is on status 'Packing' for two days now i decided to get the ps3 version, play that for some time. Once the 360 version from play would arrive i would just wrap the ps3 version in a nice paper and give that to a friend. He isn't much of a console gamer, but does own a ps3 and is really into WWII history. Esp the russian side of things. Great plan isn't it?

No shop in Amsterdam even heard of BoP. Some of the better ones suggested i really meant il2 1946. At most of them i just ended up staring at the face of some youngster with a question mark painted over his face. While texting all of this to a friend he suggested a place on the edge of town. They often have the lesser known titles. And sure, it was listed on the website!! Spend about an hour in dutch public transport, not fun. And indeed, they heard about BoP!!! Sadly it didn't came in today. When it would arrive... they had no clue.. *sigh* Spend another hour back in public transport empty handed.

Not wanting to do a 'Dennis' here, but i fear the sales for BoP in the netherlands won't be that high =( It's really impossible to get here it seems. Been roaming the intern3tz for some time and only a handfull of independent shops sell it in the netherlands. Shame really.

I know what you mean. I bought my copy in a pretty big HMV in the middle of London and had to root for it amongst the stuff that's been out for ages (360 copy). They did have the PS3 version out in the 'new releases' section though. I guess it's a kind of chicken and egg thing. The smaller devs/publishers can't afford/don't have the clout, the retail space deals. As a result, there isn't much passing trade and the title doesn't sell well. I guess time will tell. Jeeez, sell, well, will and tell all in the space of 7 words! lol

Well, looked around my whole town here in Sweden. Didn't manage to find a copy. Talked to one store that said they didn't have a deal with the distributor in Sweden, and that it would be in in about 2-3 weeks. However I already preordered it from a swedish webshop, and they shipped my game today, so I will be able to play on monday (no delivery of mail on saturdays in sweden ). Called the webshop and apparently they got the game delivered today, so at least they shipped it as fast as they could.
