Well, some of us lucky brits should be getting an early delivery from Game (I think that's where the premium price comes from!
Wait, does that mean the servers will be crippled like with every new release? |

@ PF_lizard
What servers ?, I can only think of a few console games that use servers. (MMORPG's and Battlefield etc) A PS3/X360 will be the server, it's shoddy networking code in the games that causes problems not the non-existent servers. Last edited by Yossarian; 09-03-2009 at 12:12 AM. |

Section 8 uses dedicated servers. What happens most of the time with games is that the host doesn't have a very strong connection and it drags the game down. The other scenario is that you start getting people into the game that refuse to pay the extra $5 a month for faster internet, their lag translates into everybody's lag. Hawx was terrible about that. Everybody would be doing great, laughing, killing, then some guy would come into the room and start jumping around the sky like he was in a damned x-wing, getting all kinds of kills because nobody could see him, then boom, server closed.

They get a shipping manifest the night before to tell them what's arriving, so I am about to call them to see if I need to burn down the store or not. It says that it's shipping on their website, so if they got it wrong it's going to be bad times for Gamestop.
