This is actually a 'fairy tale'
Records say they lost around 20 bombers... (dont know the exact number... believe it was in the twenties)

They were good pilots non the less.. hope to reach their level in BOP

Edit: now I needed to know .. according to wikipedia.. they lost up to 25 bombers. 200 tuskegee airmen ware researched and all said no bomber was lost to enemy fighters. After some record research.. it was proven that bombers HAD been shot down though...

Then it says this line... wich is at the heart of the whole story I think: "the Tuskegee story is about pilots who rose above adversity and discrimination and opened a door once closed to black America — not about whether their record is perfect"

Yes and no. The 99th Pursuit Squadron didn't lose a single bomber, but they were a pursuit squadron to begin with. The fact remains though that the Tuskegee Airmen had the best track record by far.

Also, watch the Dogfights episode on the P-51. I watched that last night and tried some of the moves in the demo, worked great. This one guy had a crazy move that works great for demo dogfighting. Roll left or right, pull the stick all the way to your chest, hit bottom rudder (towards the ground), then jam the stick forward and release the rudder. It takes a little to get the timing down, but it does a slight stall, then a quick 180, it will put you right on their tail. You probably should only do it when the enemy is close by, as you are going to drop serious airspeed. It sets you up for a quick shot. Dogfights is an educational show.
