stupid question about poison

You can't poison objects at random! An interaction window will prompt where you can use the poison. You can't use it on every pot or glass you'll find...

I'll give you some examples:

In "Lightning", there's a bottle of laxatives in the medical post. You can use it on the pot of stew near one of the AA guns.

You can use poison on goblets only if there's a bottle of wine next to it. Examples include the captain's office in "King's Riddle", the courier's room in "White Head" and the professor's office in "Dora".
