In this way, if you’re flying a dynamic career, and aircraft 39 or F-Freddy get lost, some time should pass before they are replaced.
Talking of dynamic career, I would like to see them updated. Here in forums we have a high density of online flyers and custom mission builders, but many Il2 customers fly offline.

I'm not sure, what you really mean. Its all about the DCG?

Surely my ability to explain is not the better around. I’m not an English-speaking person, and sometime I fight with words, both while writing and while reading.

If I understand correctly your question, yes, it’s about Dynamic Campaign Generator.
1) Would it be possible to assign random (realistic) numbers to aircraft lined for take off?
2) Would it be possible to permanently assign a certain number to a certain plane? Once that plane get lost, a newly numbered one will come from reserves, maybe with the same number, maybe not.
If random numbers are applied, could they be used for radio calls? Of course, I understand that this would mean new voices recording, so it may be not easy...

But, after all, I must admit that this would be only eye-candy, even if it would improve realism and immersion. Probably the real question is: are you thinking to update DCG?

With

Lowegrins DCG 3rd party Dynamic Campaign Generator.

Cool

I'm a bit disappointed the recon triggers will not be coming out with 4.09 official, this would be the most interesting thing to myself and long time friend Paul Lowengrin author of DCG.

the following is a bit of .. errr .. speculation, though a repeat of what Blackdog said earlier in some respects:

1. Oleg may be interested in keeping IL-2 interest up until SoW engine and BoB is released. It is free advertising for SoW because most find out about SoW / BoB because they have IL-2. IL-2 1946 is still selling, largely to people interested in the available mods and online players because it is the *only* version to have for mods and online play at Hyperlobby. Now it might not mean a whole lot of money to 1C, but it's obviously enough that Oleg and his team can continue working on SoW. IL-2 is not competition to SoW engine or BoB. SoW engine, even after release, will take considerable time, maybe years to make other full featured large scope simulations from .. which comes to my 2nd point.

2. Oleg *might* be looking for new development teams to work with the SoW engine, and what better way to for such a group to prove themselves than to work first with the IL-2 engine ? .. just speculating, but it wouldn't surprise me that Team Diadalos' motivation for doing work to finish 4.09 is that they have then have established a good working relationship with Oleg, proven their abilities to develop, and therefore will be working with the SoW engine.

A proven IL-2 developer, Ilya's RRG Studios, is already working on an SoW engined "Project Galba".

Well, I cannot sit in Olegs brain, so for point 1 I just can say, it sounds logical.
Point 2 is matching the reality situation almost perfectly, regarding our relationship with Oleg. Working for SoW later (much probably commercial) carries indeed some motivation. But currently, there is no definite decision - not even discussions about this. We are focused on Il-2 projects and the name Team Daidalos is completely dedicated to Il-2 as long as it makes any sense to us.
It also depends on how much and what kind of feedback we will get for 4.09.
But already from the feedback from the interviews alone I'd say, its worth some more workload.

Thats right. I'm personally involed in this as well. Currently its on hold, though.

Currently we have SkindDownload values: 0 (off), 1 (on). Would be nice to have this reworked: 0 (off), 1 (custom regiment signs on), 2 (custom regiment sign and skin on). That would give compromise between required bandwidth and customization.

Also, some default skins must be fixed. Gray BF109s or green FWs do not look nice over the desert.

Ok, so there seems to be some confusing and/or conflicting information out there regarding 4.09.

Possibly someone at 1C and/or Daedelus can now step in to provide info or clarify the following:

1. Where is the official announcment from 1C regarding 4.09 ?

2. Where is the official announcment from Daedelus regarding 4.09 ?

3. Where is the official announcment from 1C regarding the content of 4.09 ?

4. Where is the official announcment from Daedelus regarding the content
of 4.09 ?

The estimated release date is another question. That could be provided as a courtesy from either group if they wish but not neccesary.

What I am looking for is official information from the devs so I can avoid reading multiple threads and posts full of speculation and bickering.

If 4.09 is serious at all , or will become serious , then for the sake of being consistent with other software developers there should be some official news releases. The announcements on content may not exactly match the official release when it comes out , but of course , as we see with other software devs , they release as accurate a list as they can as timely as possble leading up to the release date.

If some or all of this information can be provided , then the consumer can judge the validity of this project and determine nearly where the version stands in development. I think with the level of support for il2 and 1C , that a basic courtesy to the loyal customers would be for 1C or Daedelus to state 4.09 is in either one of the following stages:
Pre-Alpha
Alpha
Beta
Release Candidate
RTM

Thanks for your cooperation .

Simplier to answer then: No. Neigher Ngen/Dgen nor Lowengrins work has come up ever in our plans and discussions yet. Still I may be wrong and have missed something, but I doubt that. I'm sorry.
We are already taking care of quote a wide area of the games aspects, so this may even be adressed in future. I consider this as a suggestion for now.
