Do you build aircraft models?

Lovely work Jazzy/Cydno. I only usually build RC stuff and it doesn't tend to be scale. However I recently bought a tiny wee Sukhoi 26 aerobatic plane that I intend to strip the gear out of and build a scale airframe to put it in.

I have found an awesome free card model in a scale of 1:33 of the Rolls Royce Merlin engine, which was built for installing it into the Spitfire, Mustang, Hurricane and so on. Have a look!

how the hell can you make that out of card? its to delecat to cut out and stuff, and card isnt good building material? But ID LOVE IT, if some one posted me a free paper model of a plane.

I've been looking to start some models, but I was wondering what is a good model kit brand? I'm looking for detailed accurate models (1:32). (Preferably easy to find in Canada)

Revell, Trumpeter (expensive) and Tamiya (expensive but best) are your main contenders in 1/32, Revell are excellent value for money but the quality of their kits varies, they do however make some incredible value for money kits, some very good Hasegawa kits (similar to Tamiya) are re-boxed under the Revell brand and consequently cheaper.

try the Revell 1/32 Junkers 88 - this has only been out a year and retails at £40 in the UK, so I'd guess not much more on your side of the pond

Very cheap very big and very easy to build, not to mention extremely accurate - fabulous value for money.

If you want something slightly smaller the Fw190D-9 by Revell is a Hasegawa re-box and also builds into an astonishing model

Each brand has it's good kits and it's bad kits. You really need to think about what aircraft you want to make and then look for some reviews and buy the best kit for that aircraft.
