I've got a vast collection of some of these early IL2 videos. One of my favorites (as well as Tolwyn's gem above) was "Patch-whiner". I've got no way (or clue) on how to post them at youtube, but they are classics that definitely make you laugh.

Yes…that was one of the best of the very earliest videos. You’ll find it recognized at the FlightSim Movies website where all the best of the best IL2 movies are presented.

Ed Robertson of the Ladies is a pilot, and host's a TV show where he flies around taking nasty jobs like rendering pork and raising maggots. If one must watch reality TV shows, this is the best one... and it sucks too, though less than that cake-making show... When the cake show starts, I go out to the shed and drill a couple of holes in my knees, then come in to watch the commercials.

Spending £100 on an X52 isn't gonna stop me flying as in this video... but at least I'll feel a lot cooler as I stall.
