It helped a lot to lower the sensitivity of the pad axis to improve the control of the flight.
But for the pan view around i would prefer like said before, toggle the view around by pressing for example the LB and then use RS as normal fps looking.
Anoying to click the RS and view around.

Why not sell your current stick as the aviator works on both xbox and pc.

Here are my first impressions with some criticism. Don't think that I'm being negative, it's just that the great things about this game are pretty obvious by now and already have been mentioned!

-Framerate seems a bit sluggish sometimes when zooming or using free-look. Hopefully this is not as noticeable in multiplayer (...since it's less stuff on screen at once?)

-Looking around with gamepad can be a bit frustrating, since I always have to make sure to click it in before moving the stick. Pretty often I find myself lowering the throttle or engaging WEP, going into a stall or spin instead of looking around.

-Radiochatter is often annoying, especially when they're played at the same time as the objectives are read, resulting in a mess of voices. The radio chatter gets pretty repetive as well, I got sick of hearing "Lower, lower!" every five seconds in mission 2 because I flew too high. It's not like I didn't knew that already, so I ended up muting it totally.

-How flaps and trim work isn't explained in the demo. I still haven't figured it what they do and how they work...

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forums and a great flight sim freak.

It took me by surprise that the demo is out already for Xbox360. Just a pity I can only play Friday to Sunday as I don't have access to my beloved box during workdays (weekend commuter )

After reading all the comments here it looks like I have to get the Aviator flightstick from Saitek It's just a pity that you cannot watch any replay after the mission like in Over-G fighers, but I guess there needs to be potential for improvement for the next installment of the series

All the videos and screenshots really look fantastic. I still cannot believe that finally someone heard my prayers about bringing a real simulation to consoles instead of Blazing Angels and HAWX idiocy. A real cockpit view! Real flight model! A landscape that takes your breath to spice the whole thing up!

Boys I cannot wait to get my shaking hands on this game!

To me the frame rate seemed pretty smooth, only getting bit sluggish when there was smoke on skreen. I hope this is not an issue in the full game? Is it, Anton? Or should we get used to living with that. I am also a bit concerned of what the frame rate might be like for really dense areas, like big cities, with dozens of planes in the skies, everything burning, etc. Will it slow into a crawl?

Anton, could you please comment?

Most of the time - 30 fps. No less than 20 in worst case (I mean, few frames, not conditions).
