ChrisDNT - edit conf.ini this way and it should work for you:

cool, good info. I got mine set up with my native resolution now!
 I've got a question: I've heard whispers of talk on occastions that some people have better clarity in seeing distant objects, and that it's somthing to do with screen size/resolutuion.... Is there any truth in this? Is there a way to raise the view clip outside of the game options?

IL 2 4.09 and future development has been taken over by 3:rd party developers, so no, its not just a rumor
 Look for "Daidalus Team`s Room", or better yet, click on the link in the first post of this threadh
