I doubt the control assignments will be identical. Since I use the CH Control Manager and have a specific "map" for each sim I fly, I intend on simply making one for SoW as well as RoF and queing them to start when I run the program-specific exe for each sim.

It's not really that much trouble. I was tweaking my IL2 map up until about a year ago (haven't messed with it since) so, I don't want to use anything the same myself.

T-bolt, I have tried many times to use the CH Control Manager, but it just makes my head hurt.

The in game system works well for me, so that's why I am interested in keeping it.

El, you may already be familiar with these links (to help understand the CM software). I too had issues with it for some time and continued to use the in-game control assignments...until a squaddie walked me through setting up an easy map for IL2. Once I went through it, tweaking it and setting/reassigning controls was easy. I'd be glad to do the same for you if you would like.
