Clap. Clap. Clap.

BTW, I got personal? Gee...

You got more personal than I did against you. And you've actually used the mods. Making you (According to those who get very verbal towards modders and mod users) evil, a liar, and a cheat. Well done.

I apologize if you felt I was specifically targeting you, I'm just sick of seeing the arguments over these stupid bloody things.

Well, maby its hard to tell sometimes, but im as sick of it as u are.

Mostly im sick of the complete lack of balance...its all or nothing (the opinions) and thats why it allways gets uggly.

P.S. I never ever get personal/namecalling unless its handed out to me first. And having a post of mine completly turned around to call me a wannabe cheater (amongst other) gets a name and a permenant ignore.

I wont stand for infentile behaviour, espesially when its consistant to everybody and his granmother just because they dont agree with that perticular person.

As for the labeling by both modders and modhaters, i dont care for it and i dont give a rats a**, frankly Just because they give something a name doesnt make it true.

BTW, when i used the "personal" remark it was bacause if lack of a better word. Still haven come up with a replacement.

So, anywho, no need to keep this going any longer.

P.S. I would be 100% mod friendly....if Oleg where running the store, or apointed a store manager, until then, thx but no thx.

Hilarious.
The mod users can leave the thread now and let the so called 'anti-hackers',some of whom turn out to use the mods themselves, just for 'testing' of course, tear themselves apart.

You guys know what my stance was at first, all caused by my concerns for the game.

Now I can say I'm glad that I softened my position.

Is everything perfect in mod land? Hardly.

But by and large they have improved the experience of IL2, and helped fill the gap until SOW arrives. I also see the mods as a training ground for when 3rd. party/player contributions will officially part of the sim, as they will in SOW. Has it has been pointed out, and rightly so, it is easy to make something that is high poly and looks good, but it is much harder to make it look good, and be low enough in poly count to actually work in the engine. The modders are indeed finding this out now and honing their skills. When SOW is released I don't think we will have so long to wait for new aircraft, ships, etc... I just hope that the system for official testing and approval of 3rd. party additions is able to cope with the flood of new content.

Enough squabbling, I'm going to go fly.

Cheers.

Thumbs up

Asking nice here...

This is the Il2 forums. We're all aware of MODS.

Oleg hasn't made a fuss about the MODS, but this is not the place to discuss them.

I'm sure most of you agree.

Discuss the MODS (modifications to IL2) where they should be discussed.

Thank you
